About Blues Dancing

Blues dancing is the perfect way to connect with yourself, a whole room of people and some wonderful pieces of music. The term “Blues dancing” covers a wide variety of African-American dances born in the XXth century; whether you want to rock out solo, chill with a friend in your arms, of be engulfed in the dynamics of a group, there’s a blues dance for that!

The Blues revival started at the turn of the XXIst century with lindy hoppers wanting to dance to slow music, and has since then developed both out of the slow lindy influence and by returning to the tradition of blues dancers which is still alive in the US.

If you want an idea about how it looks like, there are a few videos in the media section of this site.

I started dancing in 2005, and travelled to Brittany every year to dance. I opened my horizons in 2010 with Balfolk, then Lindy Hop and Blues in 2012. Starting in 2014, I have travelled all over Europe to train for Blues, allowing me to win the Jack’n’Jill in Berlin Blues Explosion in 2015. I also attendend several teacher’s training events to perfect my teaching.
